What say you on this subject....

Are you for or against the mud fight going on between the political parties? I would rather receive some substance on the issues, like the future of the housing market, how future jobs will be created, how the laying off of teachers, fireman and policeman negatively effects our cities.

Let the congress put their money where there mouth is don't pay congress this month along with social security and medicare, I believe that would hasten a solution

Do You or Someone You Know Need Unemployment Benefits ?

What say you on this subject....

I think that tax cuts and Unemployment Insurance for more than 12 million American should be a completely separate issue. Why should the most vonunerable people be held hostage (as political prisoners) while congress fights it out on capital hill. Whether you agree or disagree, contact your representatives and let your voices be heard tell them how you feel so this situation can be settled ASAP.

Will "BLACK FRIDAY" Be in the Red in 2009?

What say you on this subject....

"BLACK FRIDAY" the day after Thanksgiving  traditionally
has been one of the biggest shopping days of the year. This
year however with the unemployment rate over 10% and the
the foreclosure rate approaching 15% is  and thousands of
people losing their health insurance is Christmas shopping
still a priority? Even if you are currently secure in your job
is it not better to continue to put aside money for a rainy
day. Personally, I will be sending more cards, making more
gifts and only making practical purchases during this holiday
season. Do you have any suggestions for sharing and gift
giving for people with little or no budget.

Drastic Health Care Reform YES or NO?

What say you on this subject....

I say yes, frankly, I have a very good health care plan, but my
rates keep going up each year until now it costs me one third
of one of my annuities. As I get older I make more and more
visit to my physician which means more frequent deductibles
which means higher costs for me out of pocket. My income is
not increasing anywhere near my costs increase. Take time
to write call or email your state representatives and let them
know what you want.

The "Beer Summit"

What say you on this subject....

I personally believe that the president should NOT have
commented period. After his comment of "I don't have all
the details", his next comment should have been "No Comment."

However, President Obama did comment I think that the
"Beer Summit"idea was a brilliant save to the situation.
This incident with Professor Louis Gates and Mr Crowley
(the Policeman) just shows that in 2009 in America race
relations are still very much in the forefront no matter
what opinion you have.

"The Cuban Connection"

What say you on this subject....

Do you believe that the "Black Caucus Delegation" going to Cuba
did good or harm? Personally I think any attempt at communication
is a good thing, because you don't know what you can or cannot
accomplish until you begin to dialog. I also feel a special connection
because Barbara Lee, the chairman of the Black Caucus and the leader
of the Cuban delegation and I are schoolmates. I am very proud
of her accomplishments and strength, she also was the only person
in congress that voted AGAINST the Iraq war. You go girl !!
